Carrier Command 2 supports mods, the CC2 steam workshop provides a fairly easy way to distribute and install mods. If you want to join a multiplayer game that has mods, you do not need to also install the mods, the game deals with mods when you join automatically.
NOTE: You DO NOT need to copy mods directly into the game folder or edit files in the steamapps folder.
